Dell Network Assistant - A Complete Networking Solution!

Looks like Dell is switching to a new wireless setup wizard for their laptops. Microsoft's wizard is out and SingleClick's HomeNet Manager wil be in. The reason? They believe that there is improved functionality and much better troubleshooting support.

A very powerful application with an easy to interface is key to this change. The program will sense the unique characteristics of your network, setup the connections and will deal effectively with network profiles of multiple users.

So does it sound interesting? It did to me so I went to Dell's site to view an interactive demo. You might like it so click here to see the demo

So you don't have a Dell, not a problem because it is available from SingleClick here.

This posting will disagree with the original author. As good Dell Network Assistant may be, I am frustrated that a 90 day trial came bundled with my computer and then I was prompted to purchase this product - what a scam! Why can't I just be supplied with a basic piece of wireless connection software without an expiration, and then pay for an upgrade if I so desire? Now I'm trying to configure the MS product to work with my router - something that works fine with my work laptop (that always used the MS product) but is proving problematic with my personal laptop (that previously had the Dell software).
My gut feeling is to avoid the Dell product...
