Alltel Wireless Kicks off Football Season With All-Star Offerings

Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, today announced that football fans need to look no further than their wireless phone for an amazing line-up of pigskin-themed offerings, which includes bringing ESPN Radio Plus, CBS Sportsline’s Fantasy Football Companion and much more to its customers.

Beginning today, Alltel Wireless customers will be able to access ESPN Radio Plus, directly from their wireless phones. ESPN Radio Plus provides ESPN Radio content, including SportsCenter updates, live college football game coverage, game previews and recaps, in-game updates and interviews from ESPN Radio personalities. Alltel Wireless customers can access ESPN Radio Plus for $6.99 per month.

Alltel Wireless, recognizing that fantasy football players want complete control of their teams, has launched the Fantasy Football Companion by CBS Sportsline. This service, available to CBS Sportsline Fantasy Football users, will provide player profiles, news, injury reports and live statistics – anywhere and anytime. Fantasy Football Companion is available for a $4.99 monthly fee.

“Football fans are passionate about their sport, and Alltel Wireless is bringing the action from the field to their wireless phones in so many different ways,” said Wade McGill, senior vice president of product management for Alltel Wireless. “Combining the ability to get the latest on-field news or live broadcast from ESPN Radio and ability to track your fantasy team right from your handset, Alltel has football offerings that will satisfy fans all season long.”
