Wireless Fabric Keyboard for BlackBerry Debuts

Eleksen Group plc, the inventor and manufacturer of ElekTex smart fabric touchpads for consumer electronics, today announced a relationship with DynoPlex, a leading developer of wireless document management solutions. Together, Eleksen and DynoPlex aim to provide mobile customers with additional ways to use BlackBerry. BlackBerry is developed and manufactured by Research In Motion (RIM). Eleksen's fabric keyboard and DynoPlex's document editing tools will provide users with a selection of compatible peripherals and applications that leverage the flexibility and portability of the BlackBerry platform.

"We are pleased to be working alongside DynoPlex to support the growth of new, portable applications for BlackBerry," said Robin Shephard, CEO, Eleksen. "Both companies are focused on delivering innovative technologies which fit today's portable, mobile lifestyle."

By partnering together, Eleksen and DynoPlex extend a mobile office experience traditionally found in a PC environment.

"An opportunity to leave a notebook behind on the next business trip and use a wireless device, such as BlackBerry, is not a convenience — it's a lifestyle change," said Sergey Fradkov, co-founder of DynoPlex. "A combination of a portable keyboard and a document editing solution is what helps makes this change possible."

Designed for business people on the go, the portable keyboard provides users with additional ways to use wireless applications such as email, document editing, texting and mobile web browsing. Additionally, it is a generous full laptop keyboard design which provides a complementary alternative for BlackBerry users. DynoPlex's eOffice is an integrated suite of productivity applications for BlackBerry. Whether editing, creating or accessing files, eOffice provides users with access to Excel and Word documents using BlackBerry, whenever needed. Available now, the Eleksen smart keyboard sensor is available for OEMs interested in designing or manufacturing their own, branded smart fabric keyboard interfaces for the growing market of highly portable and mobile computing devices.
