Symbol Technologies Wins the Category for Innovation in Wireless Security Management. Symbol Technologies, Inc. announced that they have been awarded Best Innovation in Wireless Security Management for its Mobility Services Platform (MSP) at the prestigious Wireless Broadband Innovation Awards 2006. Symbol was short-listed in three other categories as well; Best VoIP Product, Best Enterprise Wi-Fi Product and Best Enterprise Deployment (Government Organizations) highlighting its expertise in the wireless market.
The awards presentation, attended by over 300 guests, took place at the Café Royal in London yesterday evening. The independent awards are for users and service providers of wireless broadband worldwide, and recognize the success of those companies leading the way in the wireless market. With more than 150 companies entering in 2006 they, are the most respected and sought after wireless awards in the UK.
The criteria that products were judged on for the Innovation in Wireless Security Management category included intrusion protection, identification and combating of rogue access points, innovation in wireless security management and usability of the solution proving Symbol's excellence in this market. This award is a real endorsement of Symbol's position as a recognized leader in providing mobility products and solutions that keep people connected to business applications and processes both inside and outside the workplace, helping to improve their efficiency and productivity.
