Do you like to read?

I do! It is an absolute pleasure to take a moment or two to sit and get into a book but all too often in the past when I found the time to read I was away from home and of course I didn't have my book with me. That is not the case today because I am never without my Pocket PC (or Pocket PC phone) so when the spirit moves me I just open Microsoft Reader and continue to read my favorite books.

I think what I like about it the best is that now I can read more than one book depending on what my mood is. I always keep several favorites and of course I am always adding something new.

You have a variety of options for acquiring ebooks and pretty much all of them are good choices. I have tended to stay with two sources because they have served me well over the years. When I first started reading on my iPAQ, I found a variety of places where I could download FREE ebooks....this was a great way to start a collection of favorites. An absolute favorite place to go is the Project Gutenberg Online Book Catalog.

When I was a kid, I loved Sherlock Holmes and it was at Project Gutenberg that I found some old favorites and many that I had never read before. Project Gutenberg has thousands to choose from with more added each night. You will find something of interest...and what is even better is that it is FREE so if you download it, start to read it and don't like it....you just delete it and it cost you nothing.

But I have another favorite place I like visit too and this one will cost you a couple of dollars for each title but what is really terrific is that often they offer several free ebooks...not bad. Fictionwise has a very comprehensive collection of fiction and nonfiction books. These books are high quality award-winning eBooks by top authors in all the major genres. Their site is easy to navigate so you should easily find the books that interest you.

So where are the free books? Right now, the 2006 Nebula Award Preliminary Ballot Nominees are being presented at Fictionwise. The Nebula Awards are among the most prestigious literary awards available, and are presented annually by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA). There are 14 preliminary nominee stories available for FREE for a limited time, plus a bunch of other nominees for sale. Definitely worth the look!

Of course, you can expand your reading pleasure too by adding your Pocket PC magazine to your reading collection. I love reading the actual magazine but I really like reading it on my iPAQ. You can purchase a back issue CD and get EVERY issue that has been published....what a collection of of Pocket PC knowledge!

So expand your ability to Experience Mobility.....Read an ebook!
