Palm announced the Treo 680, a new Treo for the average user. The new line will have multiple colors.

- Thinner and Lighter of earlier Treos

The Palm Treo 680 is targeting the "Mobile Accomplisher", a level of customer that is 9x larger than the "Mobile Proffesional".
New Marketing Campaign, "Not just a cell phone. A Treo." Palm plans to spend 25 Million in marketing this product.
Some Questions answered by Ed Colligan, CEO of Palm and Phil McClendon, Senior Treo Product Manager:
- Will the Treo 680 support WiFi? No
- Are you planning to do anything with Skype? No
- Are there any plans for a Windows Mobile Version? ( Asked by, Guess who? ) We just launched the Treo 750 and it will be available in the US soon.
- Will this replace the 700p? No, it will not, it's a different radio technology.
- Is the Treo 680 manufactured by HTC? No.
- Will the lack of the antenna affect reception? No, Palm says that the 680 has better reception than previous models.
