From PCs to Mobile Devices, Internet Information Travels New Path via TransSend

To keep up with consumer's technology demands, Bluetooth SIG officials have created TransSend, a client/server application. TransSend allows users to wirelessly transfer Internet content such as maps, addresses, phone numbers, and text messages from a BLUETOOTH enabled PC to another mobile BLUETOOTH device such as a phone or PDA.

In the video below, Bluetooth SIG executive Mark Sage demonstrates the new use of  TransSend which allows an Internet user to send information from any web page to a personal device using Bluetooth technology. Common types of information sent are addresses, contact information, calendar information, directions, etc.
