Laurie Sullivan from TechWeb Technology News said today that Motorola is quietly testing a digital music service for phones called iRadio. Motorola has indicated that it is anticipated to launch early next year.
The service, offering more than 800 commercial-free radio stations will have an additional fee from providers in the range of $7 and $10.
Motorola indicated that they "are building the service onto more phones, but it's only on three models now." They also said: "One of the limitations, we needed to make sure there's good digital rights management on the phone."
