So how soon before we see 5G?

Change in the wireless industry is fast and furious! I always find it amazing that they just don't let a technology settle in before they make the next change but 4G is coming and they have not completed rolling out 3G. It sort of makes you wonder "how soon before we see 5G". Change keeps us alert so that is a good thing...I guess.

In any event, I had to say that because I just read an article that Marguerite Reardon from C/NET wrote about Speedier wireless on the way via 4G. It was prety good and worth taking a look at. In part, Marguerite said:
Carriers have barely rolled out their new third-generation wireless networks, and they're already talking about the fourth generation, which could offer affordable high-speed Internet access for consumer electronics devices on the go.

Imagine a day when parents in California attending their daughter's soccer game can stream all the action live directly from their camcorder to grandma and grandpa in Florida, or a day when you can instantly download the latest U2 album onto your iPod.

Now that is being able to Experience Mobility! You can read Marguerite's article here.
