mVerify Corporation today announced general availability of the mVerify Testing System (MTS) Tester Edition, version 1.2. MTS is the testing industry's first automated application testing solution for Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5.0 and Win CE 5.0 platforms. MTS' scalable architecture means handheld device manufacturers, independent software vendors, and wireless service providers can slash testing time and costs.
"MTS lets testers and developers sleep at night by finally offering a solution to the 'Mobile Testing Nightmare'. Each day, mobile application developers and wireless service providers face daunting challenges in integrating some of the most complex and varied technologies in the world," said Robert Binder, co-founder and CEO of mVerify. "The mVerify Testing System greatly speeds mobile application testing and integration. Because MTS supports testing that matches how end users routinely use applications, bugs that particularly impact customer satisfaction are found and fixed sooner, at a fraction of the cost." Jerry Upton, Chair of the IEEE 802.20 working group for mobile wireless broadband access and Chair of the TIA TR47 engineering committee, noted, "Based on my experience in wireless standards, I have seen the need for truly scalable mobile testing solutions. mVerify's MTS is a significant breakthrough in scalability."

So the question is: If costs come down for development....will we see it reflected in consumer prices?
